What is Everyday Alchemy?

Everyday Alchemy is the process of transforming an everyday object, story or experience into something extraordinary with seemingly little effort, as if magically.

Welcome to the Everyday Alchemy journal space. This is where my creative spirit reaches out to yours. Here, I share my latest work, books, chat openly about my heart wanderings, creative processes & encounters, insights, imaginings, and observations. My calling is to ignite, liberate & connect the creative spirit in all of us: Everyday Alchemy is where our journey together begins.

-------------ARCHIVES--------------

I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land where I live and work today, the Arakwal people of the Bundjalung nation. I pay respect to Tribal Elders past, present and emerging. I recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community and extend deep gratitude for sharing their knowledge and wisdom with me through bushwalking, storytelling, art, and music. I celebrate their continuing culture everyday. This always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.

I would also like to acknowledge and pay respect to Tribal Elders past, present and emerging of the Garigal people of the Guringai nation where I spent my childhood (known today as the Northern Beaches, Pittwater, and parts of the Hawkesbury River). My creativity grew from this special land and I am eternally grateful.

For a bit of fun:

I made this free guide in 2019 as a response to all the craziness that goes with being on social media. I consider myself a bit of an expert at not being a social media influencer so I felt it was important to share my collected wisdom. It’s free, you don’t even have to disclose who you are or what you’re email address is when you download it! I know it’s rather revolutionary, no data harvesting here…

The It’s All Up From Here! Podcast is a refreshing, unscripted and honest podcast created to empower women & families…

“Anyone who looks at Pia’s work can see at a glance her original sensibility and breathtaking style. Having worked with her on two books, as editor and publisher, I can also say that she is an exceptional collaborator, a skilled writer as well as stylist, designer, and photographer. Her work ethic is unparalleled—she never misses a deadline—and her standards and her unique vision are never compromised.”
