Through this intimate workshop, learn how to reconnect with your intuition through Pia's unique approach to assemblage and styling in one of the most captivating studios in Amsterdam while enjoying a delicious lunch...

.....................

Join celebrated artist & author Pia Jane Bijkerk at Swarm Home, the new studio space of Leslie Oschmann, for an enchanting spring workshop to ignite your creative spirit through “The Alchemy of Assemblage”.

On Friday, September 8, 2017 from 11-4pm, spend time with Pia learning how to connect with your intuition to unlock your own unique style and journey toward finding the beauty & magic in your everyday.  With a limit of just 6 participants so Pia can genuinely connect to each person, this unique workshop is a life-enriching experience that reaches heart & soul.

In this one day workshop you'll acquire the knowledge to create your own distinctive piece of personal art on wood using a collection of elements you love. Through the process of creating your own assemblage board (collage on wood), Pia will guide you on how to recognise and follow your intuition, allowing your creative spirit to flow freely - a technique you’ll be able to practice and strengthen over time. Pia will help you discover how to approach a creative project by guiding you through making your own beautiful and evocative collage:

“…it will be like learning to bring to life one of the pages from my book, My Heart Wanders but even more wonderful - this will be your very own" writes Pia.

You'll enjoy a delicious & nourishing lunch with champagne surrounded by incredible objects made by Leslie and have the chance to talk in more depth about creative blocks and how to work through them.

Pia has specially designed this workshop so that you can adapt her method of intuitive and creative connection anytime you need to in your life - be it bringing more creativity into your world, gaining confidence in your creative abilities, or striving to find connection in your everyday.

About Swarm:

Coming from a visual merchandising background, Leslie instinctually likes to work with collections and large groupings; hence the name, “Swarm”. She is used to making huge displays with a small budget, and the extent of her creativity is tangible the moment you walk into her studio. Each corner has her distinct touch – from the huge hessian curtains at the front entrance, to the old art canvas patched screen and signature oil painting chairs suspended from the ceiling. Aesthetically Leslie is drawn to the juxtaposition of shiny with worn, smooth with irregular. She delights in finding new ways to reinvent the use of an object and her home makes for a wonderful showroom. In recent years, Swarm has relocated to Vereniging De Loods - The Association Warehouse. It is a community of 14 artists, craftspeople and musicians located in Zeeburgereiland, known as one of the “last free artist” spots in Amsterdam.
